Tennessee Diamond Notes: Week 7

The Tennessee Diamond Notes is a 2024 content piece that will focus on highlighting some top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight those positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Wednesday of the high school season that are deserving to be highlighted based on their performance.

For now, let's take a look at those players from across the state highlighted in this week's Tennessee Diamond Notes. 

TENNESSEE DIAMOND NOTES: WEEK 7

Luke Hamblen 1B / , TN / 2024 Hamblen hasn't been on our radar just yet but showed us some powerful stuff with a complete game against Collierville where he would finish with 7 IP, 3R's, 1BB, 5KS in a narrow 4-3 win.

Mason Ellis SS / 2B / Sevier County, TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 196 / POS: 25 Ellis did it all for Sevier County where he would hit .625 Avg, 1.292 OPS, 2 R, 2 RBI's, and 2 SB in 3 games this week with wins over Jeff Co & Gibbs, loss to Bearden. On the season, he is hitting .339 Avg, with an .808 OPS, 10 RBI, 17 R's and 16 SB.

Carson Parrott RHP / C / Livingston Academy, TN / 2024 Parrott is new to the weekly Diamond notes and impressed in his 13 innings of work. On Monday, Parrott threw a complete game shutout allowing only two hits with 12 strikeouts against Upperman handing the Bees their only district loss of the season. On Saturday, Parrott struckout fourteen against the Clinton Co. (KY) Bulldogs to pick up his second win of the week while allowing no earned runs. For the week he would rack up an uber impressive state line of 0 ER, 0.00 ERA, 26 K, 5 H, 3 BB and 1 CG.

Ryder Harville RHP / SS / Hardin County , TN / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 49 / POS: 17 Harville had a strong week at the plate going 7-14 (.500) with 5 RBI's, 1 triple, 6 runs scored, while slugging .600 and tacking on 3 stolen bases. He also finished the week with 2 shutout innings in district play.

Tommy Baker OF / 2B / South Gibson County High School, TN / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 69 / POS: 14 Baker continues his strong play, while steadily trending upwards. For the week, he would go 11/20 (.550 AVG) with 4 2B's, 2 HR's and 9 RBI's. He would also have 3 BB with a .625 OBP and a 1.100 SLG.

Ford Crand RHP / 2B / EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, TN / 2026 Crand is another guy that jumped on our radar this week after a steller perfromance over DII AA Briarcrest No-Hitting the Saints over 6.2 IP. He would give up 1 run in the contest with , giving up 1 R & K's.

Eli Reagan SS / 2B / Pickett Co High School, TN / 2025 Reagans had a really strong week at the plate for Pickett Co. hitting .583 with 667 .OBP and .917 SLG%.. He would have 1 double and 1 HR, while showing discipline at the plate with 0 K's.
