Kentucky Pitcher of The Week

This weekly award will be announced each Tuesday for the previous week’s games.

Week seven of the Kentucky high school season was action-packed from beginning to end and led to a lot of worthy candidates for our Pitcher of The Week Award, but as we combed through the submissions, one player stood out in dominant fashion, firing a one-hitter against a team ranked in the Power 25 Top 10.

Lochlan Hansel, a Rend Lake JC commit, turned in a stellar performance in GRC’s 5-1 win over Lexington Catholic on April 24. Hansel went the distance in allowing just one hit while recording 7 strikeouts in the victory for his third win of the season. In 25.2 IP this season, Hansel has racked up 44 strikeouts.

For his outstanding performance on the field, Lochlan Hansel has been named the Prep Baseball Kentucky Pitcher of The Week for April 21-27.
