Arizona Rising Stars ID (Session 2): Quick Hits

On Saturday, April 27th, Prep Baseball Report Arizona hosted the second Rising Stars event of the spring at Grand Canyon University in, Phoenix AZ. The Rising Stars is an open event held for prospects in the 2028-2029 classes in the state of Arizona that stands as a tryout to represent team Arizona at the 2024 Junior Future Games in Atlanta Georgia. Giving the players the chance to showcase their skills in front of the PBR Arizona Staff using state-of-the-art technology on field.Β 

Today, we’ll start by giving you the Top Performers from the Rising Stars, which we like to call Quick Hits. Cooper LeRoy 1B / RHP / Mesquite High School, AZ / 2028

Cooper LeRoy, a promising right-handed pitcher and first baseman, showcased his talent at the Rising Stars event last Saturday, leaving a lasting impression on the Prep Baseball Staff. Standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing in at 165 pounds, LeRoy possesses a long, athletic frame that hints at his potential for further development. Of particular note was LeRoy's impressive fastball, which clocked in at an event-high speed of 85.4 miles per hour. Kingston Sinner OF / RHP / Saguaro High School, AZ / 2028

With plans to join Saguaro High School in the fall of 2024, Sinner has already established himself as a standout player to watch. Notably, Sinner boasted the top outfield velocity of 87 miles per hour, highlighting his strong arm and defensive prowess in the outfield. Adrian Sisco C / 3B / Desert Mountain High School, AZ / 2028

Adrian Sisco, a standout catcher, made a lasting impression at the recent event, solidifying his status as one of the top prospects to watch in Arizona high school baseball. Set to join Desert Mountain High School in the fall of 2024, Sisco showcased his skills both behind the plate and in the batter's box. As a catcher, Sisco proved himself to be the top performer, displaying an impressive 1.91-2.03 pop time and unleashing a strong 76 mph arm from behind the plate, demonstrating his defensive prowess and ability to control the opposition's running game. Conner Hansen OF / 1B / Saguaro High School, AZ / 2028

With plans to attend Saguaro High School in the fall of 2024, Hansen is poised to become a key player for his team. Particularly noteworthy was Hansen's performance during batting practice, where he displayed remarkable power for his age. With a maximum exit velocity of 94.4 miles per hour, Hansen consistently drove the ball with authority, demonstrating his ability to generate solid contact and drive the ball to all fields. His swing mechanics were notably simple and clean, featuring a direct path to the ball that resulted in true spin to the pull side when the ball was in the air. With his combination of power, hitting prowess, and versatility in the field, Hansen is primed to make a significant impact for Saguaro High School's baseball program in the upcoming season.
